Upcoming Event – Sunday, November 20 – Traditional craft workshop with Diane Montreuil
November 18, 2022
Hello TRCA staff,
On behalf of TRCA’s Youth Council, I would like to promote an upcoming event this Sunday for the public (with pre-registration). Please help us spread the word to your family and friends!
Traditional craft workshop with Diane Montreuil
This is an afternoon workshop on Sunday, November 20 from 2:00-3:30pm where participants will learn to make traditional choker necklaces. This workshop will be led by Diane Montreuil, an Algonquin Métis visual artist, educator, and knowledge keeper. Diane’s experience includes advising and teaching for multiple school boards and universities, and her art has been exhibited around Ontario. Diane uses art as a tool of communication with the goal of healing as she brings the knowledge of her grandmother/elder’s teachings to life.
