TRCA Introduces Teams Phone
May 3, 2022
Good morning TRCA Staff,
We’re excited to announce that TRCA will soon integrate our phone system into Microsoft Teams. Over the last few years, we’ve seen staff leverage Teams and Office 365 to adapt to how and where you work. We’re further simplifying communications by unifying phone calls into the same Teams client where you chat, meet and collaborate on files. Staff will be assigned a 10-digit phone number (no more extensions) based on business need and will be able to make and receive calls in Teams.
Integrating our phone system into Teams offers…
- Flexibility – Make and receive calls anywhere, any time and across devices
- Adaptability – Easily move between your laptop to other devices such as mobile
- Capability – Hold calls or transfer to an internal contact, external number or your voicemail
- Productivity – Maintain a single O365 contacts list and call with a single-click
Which locations will get Teams phone and when?
This is a big shift for our staff and TRCA, and we want to ensure the best possible experience. The deployment will initially focus on the following locations with a target by end of Q2 2022. Another communication with date, details and user actions will be sent ahead of each location’s specific launch.
- Head Office
- Albion Hills Conservation Park
- Black Creek Pioneer Village
- Boyd Office
- Earth Rangers
- Restoration Services Centre
- Swan Lake Centre for Education
