Take Our Kids to Work Day 2020

November 10, 2020

John MacKenzieOn Wednesday November 4, 2020, several grade 9 students participated in TRCA’s first-ever virtual Take Our Kids to Work Day. We would like to thank parents and guardians for allowing their children to attend this event.

This event provided students the chance to experience and learn about the world of work at TRCA. During the event, the students were introduced to topics related to TRCA’s core mandate, GIS services, Surveying and Drone Operations, TRCA career paths, tips and tricks for resume writing, and studying and working in a virtual work environment.

The students will be able to relate this experience back to their school and personal lives, which will hopefully be valuable to them as they begin to explore their own possible career paths.
