Migrating Safety Training and Talks to TRCA’s Learning Management System

Good morning TRCA Staff,

The Human Resources Team is migrating off the Safety 24/7 platform, in order to consolidate all learning and records under TRCA’s Learning Management System (LMS) and to ensure content is specific to TRCA and aligned with our policies.

The migration is scheduled for January 7, 2022, at which time the Safety 24/7 platform will be decommissioned.

What Does This Mean for Me?

  • As of January 7, 2022, all Health and Safety Trainings and Monthly Safety Talks will be administered and managed through TRCA’s Learning Management System.
  • Anyone who is normally assigned Safety Talks in Safety 24/7 will have them assigned via TRCA’s LMS.

Safety Talks

  • Administered in the LMS as an online course, where employees will complete by reviewing documentation. Each course will take approximately five minutes to complete.
  • Safety talks will be automatically assigned monthly to specific division and business units, based on applicable topic.
  • Staff will be given four weeks to complete assigned Safety Talks.

Health and Safety Training

  • Staff who have completed the required Health and Safety Training in Safety 24/7 will not be required to complete those training courses in the LMS.
  • If you have not completed courses or are in progress in Safety 24/7, you will be assigned the applicable modules in the LMS. Automatic notifications will be sent to applicable employees indicating their enrollment into training courses that will require completion.
