Province of Ontario Proposal to Further Amend the Conservation Authorities Act

Yesterday, the Province of Ontario released Bill 23, the More Homes Built Faster Act, which includes proposed amendments to the Conservation Authorities Act and associated permitting regulations.
Accompanying this release were fourteen Environmental Registry of Ontario postings, including six reviews of various housing and land use policies, and five Ontario Regulatory Registry postings, all of which can be found on the following website: https://ero.ontario.ca/notice/019-6162
Our Senior Leadership Team will continue to work with Conservation Ontario and our partner municipalities and agencies to review the Province’s proposals and will be providing a verbal update at this Friday’s Board of Directors meeting and a detailed written report at the November 10th Board meeting.
I will continue to provide updates to TRCA staff on this matter as it develops.
