Potential School Closures

In anticipation of potential strike action and Ontario school closures commencing on November 4, 2022, TRCA recognizes that employees may be actively seeking to make last minute childcare accommodations.

Employees should work directly with their managers to help make suitable arrangements for their specific situations. In the event of school closures, TRCA will also be offering Fresh Air Friday day camps for children at the Kortright Centre for Conservation and Tommy Thompson Park. More information and registration will be available at Outdoor Camps – Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). Education and Training staff are currently updating information on offerings and registration, so please check back regularly for updates. TRCA staff are eligible to receive 10% off the registration fee using the code TRCASTAFF.
