LMS Course Offerings: Corporate GIS Training and Great Lakes Webinar (Update)

Good afternoon TRCA Staff,

We are pleased to announce the release of new course offering in TRCA’s Learning Management System.

The new courses can be found in the Course Catalog in the Learning Management System (LMS) in Ceridian Dayforce. To quickly filter for the courses; under Categories select Learning and Development Calendar.

The following course has been released:

• York Region Digital Academy: GIS Level 1 and Level 2 (space is limited)

• • This workshop is presented by York Region, with two GIS workshops offered:

• Getting started with GIS (Level 1): Basics of the ArcMAP and ArcCatalog within the ArcGIS Desktop Environment.
  • February 8 and 9, 2022: (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
  • June 1 and 2, 2022: (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
  • October 4 and 5, 2022: (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

• Dive Deeper with GIS (Level 2): Dive Deeper into ArcGIS processes and functionality
  • March 8 and 9, 2022: (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
  • June 22 and 23, 2022: (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
  • October 26 and 27, 2022: (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

In addition – there has been a change to the following webinar: Great Lakes Coastal Wetlands Webinar Series 2022:

• On direction from Environment and Climate Change Canada,  the webinar series has been postponed and will be rescheduled to a later date
• The webinar has been removed from the Learning Catalog on the LMS and those enrolled have been notified and de-enrolled
• At this point, we do not have any additional information regarding future dates; once that information is received, it will be communicated accordingly
