Funding Opportunity – Work to Grow
July 21, 2021
Maximum Funding Amount: Wage subsidy of up to 50% at $17.50/hr
Statement of Interest due: July 30
Nature Canada’s Work to Grow program connects racialized youth to jobs that promote and protect nature. The fund supports the hiring of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and other People of Colour) youth.
In order to qualify for funding, the employee being supported by Work to Grow must be between the ages of 15 and 30, be legally entitled to work in Canada, and self-identify as BIPOC.
Positions that have already received funding through Canada Summer Jobs or another federally-supported wage subsidy program will not be eligible for Work to Grow funding.
For further details, including an FAQ, please see Nature Canada’s website for the program here.
If you are interested in applying for the grant, please contact the Funding & Grants Coordinator at max.smith@trca.ca no later than July 30. As this fund has a rolling deadline, submissions after the SOI deadline will be possible.
