Funding Opportunity – Trans Canada Trail – Infrastructure and Major Repairs

Trans Canada Trail (TCT) – Trail Infrastructure and Major Repair Funding Stream now open.
The Trans Canada Trail (TCT) – Trail Infrastructure and Major Repairs stream of funding is now open. This funding stream was designed to develop and implement construction projects along the Trans Canada Trail that will increase and improve the quality and value of the trail network, as well as improve the safety and comfort of users. TCT will fund various types of projects including those in the planning and design phases as well as construction. Additional funding is available through TCT for trail maintenance, signage and more. Funding under the Infrastructure and Major Repairs stream falls into two categories:
Planning and Design –
TCT will fund up to 50% eligible expenses. Maximum funding: $50,000
Trans Canada Trail may provide financial support for consultations, design, planning or studies (engineering, environmental impact assessments, etc.) All studies that receive a contribution from Trans Canada Trail must be a precursor to a construction project; however, an approved contribution for design, planning or studies does not guarantee financial support from Trans Canada Trail for the construction phase of the project.
Construction Phases –
For total project costs between $1-$25,000:
TCT will fund up to 50% of eligible expenses.
For total project costs between $25,000-$50,000:
TCT will fund up to 35% of eligible expenses.
For total project costs greater than $50,000:
TCT will review, but will only fund a maximum is 35% of eligible expenses up to $150,000.

For the Trail Infrastructure and Major Repairs stream please submit your Statement of Interest (SOI) through the Grant Centre no later than Friday, November 11. In your SOI, please include the accounts that the matching funds are coming from.
