Funding Opportunity – Sustain Our Great Lakes

The Sustain Our Great Lakes (SOGL) program is soliciting proposals to benefit fish, wildlife, habitat, and water quality in the Great Lakes Basin.
The program will award grants in 2020 to improve and enhance habitat and water quality in the following five categories:
(1) Restore and Enhance Stream and Riparian Habitat;
(2) Restore and Enhance Coastal Wetland Habitat;
(3) Expand Green Stormwater Infrastructure in Great Lakes Communities;
(4) Maintain and Enhance Benefits of Habitat Restoration through Invasive Species Control, and;
(5) Restore and Preserve Natural Areas and Biodiversity in Wisconsin’s Lake Michigan Watershed.
Please see the funder’s website for further eligibility information in all three categories. Please review the list of performance metrics for monitoring before proceeding with an application.
Approximately $100,000 – $200,000 in funding has been earmarked for projects in Canada, with preference given to projects in the western Lake Ontario region, particularly near Hamilton, Ontario.
Projects funded by SOGL will be generally required to offer a 1:1 match ratio, including in-kind contributions.
