Funding Opportunity – Peel Social Services Relief Fund

To help communities respond to the increased and changing demands for services to the vulnerable resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Social Service Relief Fund will support programs with the following expenses:
- Hiring additional front-line, client serving staff for critical services and supports for vulnerable populations
- Funding to deliver enhanced and expanded critical services for vulnerable populations
- Funding to promote physical distancing and self-isolation to keep vulnerable people safe and healthy
- Transportation costs to transport vulnerable individuals to and from medical appointments and facilities
- Enhanced cleaning services for facilities serving vulnerable populations or for public serving locations preparing to re-open as part of the recovery phase
- Computer software to allow for virtual programming and support services (refer to the ineligible expenses section for more details)
- Transportation costs to deliver basic necessities to vulnerable populations or those in self-isolation
- Delivery of services to meet basic needs (e.g. grocery cards, personal hygiene products, gift cards, cleaning supplies) for vulnerable populations or those in self-isolation
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for agency staff, vulnerable populations or self-isolating individuals
- Protective shielding, way-finding decals and other physical barriers to enable the re-opening of public serving locations as part of the recovery phase
If you are interested in applying for this fund, please submit an SOI to the Grant Centre by end of business on Tuesday, March 24. Due to tight timelines, late SOIs cannot be accepted.
