Funding Opportunity – Great Lakes Protection Initiative

Maximum funding amount: $100,000 – $300,000 (depending on stream)
Statement of Interest due: January 31
The Great Lakes Protection Initiative (GLPI) addresses the most significant environmental challenges affecting Great Lakes water quality and ecosystem health.
Funding is available in four streams:
(1) Funding for restoring Great Lakes Areas of Concern
(2) Funding for preventing toxic and nuisance algae
(3) Funding for reducing releases of harmful chemicals
(4) Funding for engaging Indigenous Peoples in addressing Great Lakes issues

For all Area of Concern applications, please remember to link your projects explicitly to specific BUIs and the new draft COA wherever possible.
Statements of Interest are due through the Grant Centre no later than Friday January 31.
