Eligible infrastructure projects include new construction of public infrastructure and/or modification or reinforcement of existing public infrastructure that prevent, mitigate or protect against the impacts of climate change, disasters triggered by natural hazards, and extreme weather.

Proposed projects will require 60% matching funding, with a minimum of $1M in eligible costs. Projects must be substantially completed no later than December 31, 2032.

Full program guidelines are available here. Please make special note of eligible projects and eligible costs.

Final project proposals are due July 19, 2023.

If you would like to discuss your project’s eligibility, please contact Max Smith, Funding & Grants Coordinator (max.smith@trca.ca).

Please fill out the linked Expression of Interest (EOI) form as soon as possible if you are interested in submitting a project.

Please note: If you plan to partner with another agency who is leading an application, you will still need to submit an EOI. Your EOI should highlight the following: scope of work of both the project at large and TRCA’s contribution, anticipated timelines, total anticipated costs (both TRCA and total), project partners, and the municipality in which the project is occurring.

If you are interested in applying, please contact Max Smith to discuss initial project details and eligibility (max.smith@trca.ca). Expressions of Interest are due no later than 5:00PM on March 13, but please submit sooner if you are able.
