Funding Opportunity – Canada Post Community Foundation Grant
March 11, 2020
Maximum funding amount: $50,000
Statement of Interest due: March 18
The Canada Post Community Foundation provides grants to Canadian schools, charities and organizations in an effort to make a difference in the lives of children in Canadian communities.
There are two streams to this funding opportunity:
Project Grants: Eligible projects increase the capacity of an organization. Such projects create or expand services rather than maintaining existing services, for example hiring staff or purchasing new equipment. Grants are awarded up to $25,000. Grants to schools, school/parent organizations, daycares, sports teams and all recreation facilities (eg. pools, ice rinks, skateboard parks) can receive up to a maximum of $5,000.
Signature Grant: National organizations that support children and youth projects are eligible to apply for a $50,000 grant. This grant is in place to contribute to the overall work and mission of national organizations that deliver programs or support to children and youth.
For more information on this opportunity, please visit the funder’s website.
If you have a project that you believe qualifies for this opportunity, please contact Max Smith at max.smith@trca.ca by Monday March 16 to discuss your project’s eligibility. Statements of Interest are due by Wednesday March 18.
