Progress Made to Date |
NOVEMBER 2020:
- Identified staff to help develop project plan
- HR establishing process for tracking benefit eligibility for contract staff
DECEMBER 2020:
- HR has developed and received Policy Committee and SLT approval on Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding Policy that will be rolled out in January 2021, which clearly outlines TRCA’s recruitment process.
- HR has implemented a process for tracking benefit eligibility for contract staff.
JANUARY 2021:
- Workplan completed that links deliverables between complement review, workforce planning model and full cost accounting review.
- Review commenced to ensure a true reflection of complement data across all divisions. This data will allow us to identify and provide better guidance on opportunities for contract to full time conversions.
- Initial market scan discussion to seek insights on industry approaches to Workforce Planning. Currently reviewing several presentations/slide decks and webinars to consider best practices.
FEBRUARY 2021:
- Complement review ongoing for all TRCA divisions.
MARCH 2021:
- Complement review continues to be ongoing for all TRCA divisions.
- Initial draft of workforce planning model has been prepared – to be discussed and refined with working group in April.
- Advocating for additional funding with municipal partners.
MAY 2021:
- Complement review continues to be ongoing.
- Review of existing contract allocation completed.
SEPTEMBER 2021:
- Complement review completed and will be brought forward to SLT in October.
DECEMBER 2021:
- 2022 Complement review completed and approved at SLT. This work will continue to be ongoing through each operational division.
- This work will now shift to be operationalized with HRBP’s working with each division on resource planning and optimization of contract and complement opportunities.
