Progress Made to Date |
NOVEMBER 2020:
- TRCA staff have completed a fulsome environmental scan of comparator organizations, reviewed plan options, and conducted a financial review of options. Recommendations to pregnancy and parental leave improvements have been drafted.
DECEMBER 2020:
- TRCA staff completed the environmental scan and reviewed plan options. TRCA will be working with our funding partners to build out the financial capacity to introduce a sustainable program in the future, as this remains a priority for the organization (see attached memorandum).
MARCH 2022:
- Following the work completed in 2020, to complete an environmental scan and develop program options, we are pleased to share that recommendations on TRCA’s first ever pregnancy and parental leave supplemental top-up program was approved by the Board of Directors on March 25, 2022.
- The costing of the program’s implementation is included in TRCA’s 2022 budget, which will be reviewed by the Board of Directors on May 20, 2022, making the effective date of the pregnancy and parental leave supplemental top-up benefit implementation June 6, 2022.
