Progress Made to Date
NOVEMBER 2020:

  • Supplementary review work is currently in progress.

DECEMBER 2020:

  • The HR team is collaborating with relevant management staff to complete a comprehensive review to streamline the supplementary job descriptions. This has allowed TRCA to shift from approximately 70 unique positions to approximately 25 cross-functional and collaborative roles. HR is now working with individual SMT members to ensure the content of these streamlined job descriptions accurately reflects their business needs and requirements of each of the positions. Anticipated completion is Q1 2021.

JANUARY 2021:

  • HR has continued work on streamlining of positions and is continuing to work with the SMT on the ongoing updates.

FEBRUARY 2021:

  • Finalized structure of streamlined supplementary positions shared with SMT working group.
  • Revamped job descriptions developed to support the streamlining of roles to increase cross functional utilization of roles.
  • SMT working group to review revamped job descriptions to enable compensation and pay equity review.

MARCH 2021:

  • Supplementary revamped job description review completed by SMT.
  • Supplementary positions currently being reviewed for classification.
  • Market analysis data for supplementary positions currently being aligned to current date.
  • Targeting to be brought forward to the Board of Directors in Q2/Q3 2021.

MAY 2021:

  • Market analysis work completed for supplementary positions.
  • Draft supplementary pay grid being reviewed and analyzed.
  • On target for Board of Directors in Q3 (September) 2021.

SEPTEMBER 2021:

  • Supplementary review is complete, new supplementary grid complete. Board of Directors endorsement received September 2021.
  • Request For Proposal (RFP) for the 2023 compensation review is complete.
  • Project plan for the 2023 compensation review to be developed in conjunction with the compensation consultants.

DECEMBER 2021:

  • Supplementary review, grid changes, and individual compensation changes completed November 2021.
  • RFP for the 2023 compensation review awarded.
  • 2023 compensation review commenced in November 2021 and project plan complete.
