In a year personified by uncertainty and change, 2020 vividly highlighted the vital role that Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) fulfills across our jurisdiction. The title and theme of TRCA’s annual report, Conservation Matters, was selected to showcase the important role we play in protecting our region’s homes, businesses, and infrastructure.
A challenge was made to Corporate Services staff to modernize the look and feel of the annual report document, and they enthusiastically delivered four tremendous deliverables. Working collaboratively, staff developed (1) the customary annual report, (2) an interactive annual report webpage, (3) an eight-minute video highlighting TRCA’s 2020 efforts and (4) ongoing social media messaging, to continue promoting TRCA accomplishments throughout the year.
This represented one of the first times in TRCA’s history staff had created an online annual report and completed the annual report video in-house, which are tremendous accomplishments that emphasize the vast talents of our staff.
TRCA always wants to make it easier for our stakeholders to connect with our work through our annual report, and accomplishing this goal requires vast collaboration from across the organization, as each division/business unit has important stories to tell and the deliverables do a great job amplifying these voices.
A huge thank you goes out to all staff throughout TRCA that helped to provide content for the annual report, to the Strategic Business Planning and Performance business unit, for their efforts aggregating the content and editing the information to ensure that it effectively told our story, and to the Marketing, Communications and Events business unit, for their efforts making sure that the look and feel of the deliverables emphasize TRCA’s brand and allow our stakeholders to easily understand our messaging.
A special thank you to the following staff members:
