Announcing the new ITM Database Request Service

Since the Information Technology Management (ITM) business unit has launched the ITM Service Desk at the beginning of 2019, our focus has been to continually enhance the service we provide to TRCA staff.  

On July 1st this year we launched the new Database Request Service on the ITM Service Desk.  By introducing this service we have been able to decommission one more Lotus Notes Database.  Through the ITM Database Request Service, you can submit a functional requirements discovery for a new database, report a bug/break, edit/update the front-end forms, request accessing to the existing database, and/or data integration and quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC).

You can also submit and manage all your Information Technology Management related requests in a single place. It becomes very easy to raise and track requests using Service Desk. The ITM Database Request Service supports dynamic reporting, workflow and automation, providing the ITM Management Team a dashboard of all requests in order to manage service delivery.

Later this year, we will continue our work to migrate the Geomatics Service Request database into the ITM Service Desk which will provide a single one stop shop window for all ITM requests.
