Funding Opportunity – Habitat Stewardship Program (Aquatic)

Maximum Funding Amount: $25,000 – $100,000

The Habitat Stewardship Fund supports projects that contribute directly to the recovery of aquatic species at risk. The expected results of the program are: (1) aquatic species at risk important habitat is improved and/or managed to meet recovery goals; (2) threats to aquatic species at risk and/or their habitat are stopped, removed and/or mitigated; and (3) collaboration and partnerships support the conservation and recovery of aquatic species at risk.
A minimum of 1:1 matching funding from non-Federal sources is required.
Regional priorities for Ontario include the following species:
- Redside Dace
- Pugnose Shiner
- Pugnose Minnow
- Lake Sturgeon
- Black Redhorse
