Celebrate Canada provides funding for events organized on National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21), Saint-Jean Baptiste Day (June 24), Canadian Multiculturalism Day (June 27) and Canada Day (July 1). To qualify for funding, events must be free to the public.

This fund will cover promotional expenses, communications, entertainment, supplies, and equipment rental; birthday cake for Canada Day celebrations; ceremonial and traditional food for June 21, 24 & 27 celebrations; fireworks; administrative costs up to 15% of total contribution; reasonable travel/hospitality expenses.

For 2021 events, the Celebrate Canada program offers funding recipients the flexibility of holding a virtual event.
