TRCA logo placement on maps may vary, but the preferred location is bottom right, provided the logo does not cover any map labels or data. The logo may appear in a white legend box if the map background renders the logo difficult to see.
A disclaimer may appear on a map and should be left-justified beside or below the logo.
All maps should follow basic standards of cartography, including a north arrow, a scale in the appropriate metric, and a title with date and references for publication and file transfer purposes.
TRCA’s logo must appear on all stand-alone maps. If the map appears in a TRCA document or presentation, the logo may be removed, but any disclaimer that is required must appear somewhere near the map.
Icons for maps
TRCA has standard icons that are used on all maps and signage. No variation of these icons should be used. Icons are available upon request from the Communications, Marketing and Events business unit.
