Thanks for a Successful Earth Day Clean-Up!

Earth Day was celebrated at TRCA Head Office on Thursday April 18, 2019 with more than 30 staff members pitching in over the lunch hour to help pick up trash around the storm water pond adjacent to 101 Exchange.

QuadReal provided pizza for the litter pickers and gifted stainless-steel reusable straws for participants to take home. (A fitting item, considering the dozens of plastic straws that TRCA staff found and gathered from around the pond.)

All told, nearly 40 kg of garbage and recycling was collected.

This marks the fourth year that TRCA staff have cleaned around the pond to mark Earth Day. Over that time, we have collected and disposed of 146 kg of waste.
