Good afternoon TRCA staff,
Summer seasonal staff play a crucial role in providing TRCA with the ability to make our parks, conservation lands and activities available to the public. As you have most likely seen in the media, many organizations within our jurisdiction have been challenged with recruiting seasonal staff for these crucial positions and we are no different.
We are reaching out to our staff with an ask, to please share our seasonal job postings page with those you may know that may be interested in applying for a seasonal position at TRCA.
Below are the three key positions we would like to profile as we are currently hiring for the 2022 Summer Season:
- Lifeguards
- Camp Counsellors
- Park Maintenance staff
Some of our hiring locations include:
- Albion Hills Conservation Park (including Albion Hills Field Centre)
- Black Creek Pioneer Village
- Boyd Conservation Park
- Claremont Nature Centre
- Glen Haffy Conservation Park
- Heart Lake Conservation Park
- Kortright Centre for Conservation
- Lake St. George Field Centre
- Petticoat Creek Conservation Park
These seasonal positions will benefit from the following perks:
- Free Conservation Ontario annual pass with access to conservation parks throughout the province
- Discount to a wide range of attractions through Toronto Attractions Council and Attractions Ontario’s Reciprocal Programs
In addition to these perks, TRCA’s Lifeguards Receive:
- Support in obtaining their the NLS/CPR-C Certification and will be paid by TRCA
- Steady hours throughout the summer
- Rate ranges from $17 to $23 per hour
- Vulnerable Sector Check costs covered by TRCA
TRCA’s Camp Counsellors Receive:
- Mentorship by TRCA educators
- The opportunity to lead unique nature-based programming
- Rates starting at $17.69 per hour
- Vulnerable Sector Check costs covered by TRCA
- Additional Benefit: TRCA does not deduct housing and meal costs from the overnight Camp Counsellor positions. Many other organizations deduct these costs for overnight camp positions.
