March 2, 2022
To all Staff:
With the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, government agencies are warning of the increased risk of cyber-attacks that will pose potential risks to all organizations. ITRM is asking all staff to be aware of this risk and take extra care, both at work and at home, when using email, text messages and interacting on social media.
- Don’t open messages, or click on attachments or links for suspicious or unexpected messages.
- Verify the sender for any unexpected email or text message.
- Be wary of unsubscribe links for services you didn’t register with.
- Don’t provide your password or sign in to a service when prompted by a suspicious link or attachment.
- Reputable companies won’t ask you to sign in from an email message.
- Do update your home anti-virus regularly.
- Do update your services with strong passwords, and activate Multi-factor authentication where possible.
- Do be aware of suspicious social media content.
If you receive a suspicious message at work, contact ITRM for assistance.
