Funding Opportunity – Intact Foundation Municipal Climate Resiliency Grant

Intact Foundation’s Municipal Climate Resiliency Grant provides funding for municipalities towards effective, practical solutions that mitigate flood and wildfire risk. TRCA must have the support of a partner municipality to be eligible to apply, with the understanding that this municipal partner would be ineligible for further Intact applications.

Projects must be slated to start before or by October 2022, and can support operating or select capital expenditures. Eligible projects must be completed within 1-2 years of their start date, and have measurable outcomes and indicators of success. Further information about the grant can be found on Intact’s website.

Eligible projects must also support one of the following focus areas:

• “Shovel ready” greening/natural infrastructure solutions
• Climate mitigation tools
• Readiness research or feasibility assessments
• Awareness and education

Only one application may be submitted per organization. However, the project may take place in multiple municipalities.
