Access VPN From Your Computer Task

Virtual Private Networking (VPN) allows TRCA staff to access the internal TRCA network from a remote location. Use the following instructions to configure VPN on your computer.

Step 1: Click on the Windows icon in the lower left of your screen and find the application Dell SonicWALL NetExtender.

Step 2: Enter the following information into the Dell SonicWALL NetExtender software:

Your username is the first part of your email address with a period between the names, (e.g. firstname.lastname):

Server: vpn.trcastaff.ca:4433
Username: firstname.lastname
Password: your windows password
Domain: trca.local

Step 3: Open your Outlook email client and copy the One-Time Password (OTP) that was sent to your email address and paste it into the prompt as shown below.

Note: Select “Trust” or “Always trust” if prompted with a security notice.
