Funding Opportunity – Enabling Accessibility Fund

Maximum Funding Amount: $350,000 to $1,000,000

The “mid-sized projects” intake of the Enabling Accessibility Fund is currently accepting applications for projects requesting a minimum of $350,000 and a maximum of $1,000,000. The fund will support projects that create more opportunities for persons with disabilities to take part in community activities, programs and services and access employment.

Eligible projects will be ready to start on or after April 1, 2022 and must be completed by March 31, 2024. The project must address the two following objectives:

• improve accessibility and safety for persons with disabilities in Canadian communities and workplaces, and
• increase access to programs, services or employment opportunities that focus on a holistic approach in addressing the social or labour market integration needs of persons with disabilities

There is also a minimum matching funding requirement of 35% of total project costs.
