Funding Opportunity – Food Waste Reduction Challenge

Funding Amount: Stage 1: $100,000; Stage 2: $400,000; Stage 3: $1,500,000

Impact Canada’s Food Waste Reduction Challenge offers two challenge streams. Stream A targets business models that prevent food waste, and Stream B targets business models that divert food waste, food by-products, and/or surplus food.

Semi-finalists selected to participate in Stage 1 will be granted $100,000 towards the piloting of their proposed model. Finalists will be granted $400,000 to execute the business model idea and follow an experimental method for testing and evaluating its effectiveness. The winner will be granted $1,500,000 to accelerate and scale up the commercialization of their proposed solution.
